CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FOR 2021

2021 has been a strange year once again, with three of the family contracting Covid. Thankfully they have recovered and the rest of us have kept well. Mark is continuing to make an amazing recovery and is into his exercising again. Hannah is studying at University in Dundee, while Aimee and Andrew are still at school. Andrew was the Overall Scottish Series Mountainbiking Champion.

Fiona is still teaching in Tingwall Primary School while Craig continues to work from home. Stephanie is on maternity leave, Ethan passed his FICA and is now working as a fully qualified electrical engineer, while Kaitlin works in catering at the Windfarm which is being built in Shetland.

Paul still lives in Perth, WA. His business is doing well and he enjoys having the boys regularly. Mitch has now finished primary school while Fletch still has two years to go.

In the midst of difficult times, there have been several highlights. Both Fiona and Mark have bought houses.

Fiona bought a lovely holiday cottage in Vidlin which was at one time a Baptist Chapel.

Mark bought a super new house in Inverness.

Kaitlin and Aimee passed their driving tests in the autumn and are both delighted to be on the road!

Very excitng news is that Stephanie is expecting a baby very soon. Her due date is Jan 1st.

Wishing you all a resful, peaceful Christmas and every blessing in the New Year of 2022.

Once Paul had decided to settle down in Australia we visited him and his partner Aly several times. We had some amazing trips and saw quite a bit of Western Australia. One place in particular we loved was Monkey Mia - still one of my most favourite places.

Another place we loved was Kalbarri where a huge pelican would arrive on the beach every day to be fed.

A huge pelican would arrive on the beach every morning for a feed of fish, much to the onlookers’ entertainment.

Then an absolute highlight and something I’ve always wanted to do was when Paul treated us to a hot air balloon experience followed by a champagne breakfast.

Paul’s family grew with the addition of two gorgeous boys, Mitchell and then Fletcher two years later. I’ve included some photos of our visits below. We loved spending time with the boys.

Ten pin bowling

Monty and Paul always fitted in a game of ten pin bowling. They were very competitive!

And then in summer 2023 Paul and the boys made it to Da Rock for a holiday! That was very special as we were all together as a family, joined by Mark and his kids too. We even had a visit from Wendy and David Bourne, Mitchell and Fletcher’s Australian grandparents, which was a real treat.
